Short answer: Five companies say on their own websites that they make sports bras, or activewear that includes them, for other brands and produce in the United States: BOMME STUDIO, Essentials Made, Lefty Production Co. and TEG (The Evans Group) in Los Angeles, and ARGYLE Haus of Apparel, whose production facility is in San Fernando, California. Each site, read in October 2026, names sports bras and a US production location; they are grouped by city, not ranked.
Updated October 2026. Compiled from each company’s own website. Conflict of interest: YOUMEGA is an activewear manufacturer in China and appears on this page, unranked, in a separate box near the end.
How we chose
- Sports bras named on the company’s own site as something it makes or develops for brands. Where a site names them only in a general description of athletic wear, the entry says so.
- US production with a city and state as stated. Where some work can happen outside the US, such as sewing in Tijuana or an offshore full-package program, we say so.
- Each company in its own words, with MOQ, sampling, lead time and capacity as stated, or “not stated”.
- No marketplaces, directories or agents. Sites claiming US production without a city or state were left out. Within our research limit, no company outside California met these tests.
- No ranking. Grouped by city, alphabetical within each group. We did not visit factories, order samples or test garments.
At a glance
Listed by city, then alphabetically. The order is not a ranking. None of the five gives a production capacity figure on the pages we read.

Questions to ask a US sports bra manufacturer
Ask each company to answer these in writing before you approve a sample:
- Support level and testing: which support level each style is built for, and which fit or wear checks happen before bulk. BOMME STUDIO lists high-support bras; Essentials Made, medium support.
- Cups and molding: removable pads, sewn-in or molded cups, and who supplies and shapes them.
- Size range: which sizes the minimum covers and how extended sizes are graded. BOMME STUDIO includes XS–XL and quotes XXS–5X separately.
- Elastic and band construction: underband elastic type and width, and the stitches that hold it. Lefty Production Co. lists cover stitch, flatlock and zigzag sewing.
- Minimums per style and color: whether the MOQ counts per style, color or order. BOMME STUDIO allows two colors or prints per style at 150 units.
- Sample rounds: how many rounds are included and whether fees are credited to bulk. BOMME STUDIO runs one to three rounds; Essentials Made includes one refinement.
- Where each step happens: cutting, sewing and finishing locations, in writing, before you put a Made in USA claim on your label. BOMME STUDIO discloses its sewing location in writing per program.

FAQ
Who makes sports bras in the USA for other brands? On this page, five Los Angeles-area companies: BOMME STUDIO, Essentials Made, Lefty Production Co. and TEG (The Evans Group) in Los Angeles, and ARGYLE Haus of Apparel, with its production facility in San Fernando, California. Within our research limit, no maker outside California had a site naming both sports bras and a US production address.
What is the minimum order for sports bras made in the USA? Stated minimums run from 10 to 300 pieces per style: TEG from 10 (studio level) or 50 (factory level); BOMME STUDIO 150 for US cut and sew, with fabric you supply; ARGYLE Haus of Apparel 300. Essentials Made and Lefty Production Co. give no figure.
How long does sports bra production take in the USA? Stated production times are 4 to 8 weeks. Essentials Made gives about 2 weeks for the sample and 4–5 weeks for production; BOMME STUDIO 6–8 weeks after sample approval and materials, with sample development typically 4–8 weeks; TEG 4–8 weeks at studio level. The others set timing per project or do not state it.
Are “made in USA” sports bras made entirely in the United States? Not always, so ask in writing. BOMME STUDIO cuts in Los Angeles but may sew there or in an audited Tijuana facility, disclosed per program; its full-package program is made in Vietnam, and TEG runs a separate international program. Ask where cutting, sewing and finishing happen before you put a Made in USA claim on your label.
Can US manufacturers make sports bras in extended sizes? BOMME STUDIO says yes: XS–XL, five sizes per colorway, is included in its minimum, and XXS–5X is quoted separately because each added size needs its own marker and grade. The other four state no size range on the pages we read, so ask which sizes each quote covers.
Do I need a tech pack to make sports bras in the USA? Not always. BOMME STUDIO says most brands arrive without one and it can pattern from a garment you send, though a tech pack speeds up costing and sampling; Essentials Made usually starts from a reference garment; TEG works from your patterns or develops them; Lefty Production Co. lists tech packs among its capabilities.
Weighing US production against production in China for a sports bra line? Send YOUMEGA your tech pack or reference styles and ask for sample times and a written quote.
