FAQ

What is the difference between an OEM and an ODM clothing manufacturer? An OEM manufacturer makes your design from your tech pack or sample. An ODM manufacturer supplies the design, from its existing range or developed for you, and you add your brand. Usage varies: Brosan Textile and 16th July Exports use ODM for designs they develop for you, Junhao Clothing launches 300+ new designs a month, and White Cotton offers base fits to brand.

What MOQ do OEM activewear manufacturers ask for? Stated minimums: GYMHUR from 50 pieces per design; White Cotton 100 per style in one colorway, or 75 per colorway for two or more; Junhao Clothing from 100 pieces; 16th July Exports from 100 per style; Brosan Textile 150 per color per style; BOMME STUDIO 150 per style for cut and sew, 600 for full package; Thygesen Textile Vietnam 3,000 per design. Sabrina states none.

How long does activewear sampling take? Stated times run from 3 days to 8 weeks: Junhao Clothing from 3 days; Brosan Textile and 16th July Exports 7–10 business days; Thygesen Textile Vietnam 7–10 days with available fabrics; GYMHUR 14 days; White Cotton 4–8 weeks from payment. BOMME STUDIO counts one to three rounds rather than days, so ask how many rounds a quote includes.

How long does bulk activewear production take? Brosan Textile states 20–25 business days after sample approval and deposit; 16th July Exports 25–35 days after sample approval; Thygesen Textile Vietnam 30–45 days after fabrics and trims arrive; BOMME STUDIO usually 6–8 weeks for cut and sew after receiving your materials; White Cotton 6–12 weeks from the deposit. GYMHUR, Junhao Clothing and Sabrina state no bulk time on the pages we read.

Do I need a tech pack to work with an activewear manufacturer? Not always. BOMME STUDIO says most brands arrive without one and it can pattern off a garment you send; 16th July Exports works from a design, tech pack or reference sample, or develops the design itself; Junhao Clothing accepts tech packs, sketches, reference samples or photos. GYMHUR asks for “your idea, tech pack or reference”.

Where are activewear manufacturers located? This page covers Los Angeles (BOMME STUDIO, which also names Tijuana and Vietnam), Barcelos in Portugal (White Cotton), Istanbul (Brosan Textile), New Delhi (16th July Exports), Sialkot in Pakistan (GYMHUR), Hanoi (Thygesen Textile Vietnam’s office), Dongguan in Guangdong (Junhao Clothing) and New Taipei City (Sabrina, which lists addresses in China, Cambodia, Vietnam and Mexico).
